Canyelles Grosses Beach (the first or last white sand beach in Catalonia, depending where you’re coming from!) is one of the most attractive beaches in the municipality and, indeed, on the entire Empordà coastline. Popularly known as L’Almadrava Cove, the intense blue of its waters and its sheltered location protected from the tramuntana (northern wind) have made it a popular beach in a residential setting.

There’s plenty to see and do in Roses but if you’re staying in an apartment in L’Almadrava Cove, the main thing is to enjoy the beach, which you’ll see as soon as you step onto your apartment terrace. To complement your experience, we provide the following services:

It offers the perfect combination of tranquillity and an extensive range of amenities: access for persons of reduced mobility, showers, walkways and a lifeguard service. In addition to these amenities, Santallúcia provides several services to make its guests’ stay easier and even more enjoyable.

- Live music at the Espai Blau: afternoons, good music, food and drinks, and sea views. Add to this combination our stage right on the beach with live music, the perfect way to enjoy relaxing afternoons next to the sea. Every day from 15:00 to 19:00 in July and August, the Espai Blau on the terrace of Santallúcia Restaurant offers concerts of various types of music, including jazz and blues. See you there!

- Rental of loungers and parasols: if you like to be comfortable on the beach and stretch out in the shade while you enjoy a good book, there is guests a lounger and parasol service so that they don’t need to bring along their own beach gear.

- Rental of kayaks, SUP boards and pedal boats: these options are a great way to explore L’Almadrava Cove from the sea, while offering you the chance to combine sport with relaxation at the beach.

- Buoy rental: if you have a boat and need somewhere to moor it, we offer the rental of buoys close to the beach.

Other services to make your stay more enjoyable. We highlight:

- Supermarket: stock up on food and make the most of the fully-equipped kitchen in your apartment, if you feel like cooking. There’s a large supermarket with a wide selection of goods at the next beach along from L’Almadrava Cove. It even offers a delivery service for our guests.

- Store with beach and swimming gear: sun cream, children’s beach toys and inflatables... You’ll find whatever you need for the beach in this little store right next to the apartments.

- On-board meal service: you’ve decided to spend the day sailing around the coves of Roses and Cap de Creus but don’t feel like cooking. In July and August, Santallúcia provides a takeaway meal service. Orders must be placed in advance. Just like in our restaurant, we serve top-quality local products, but in this case to take away.

- Taxi: if you need to get somewhere in the area, just let us know and we’ll arrange a reliable taxi service so you can get where you need to go without having to drive.
